Hello everyone.

Thank you to everyone who participated in last night's (December 23, 2020) event.

And thank you very much for your participation!

Also, we apologize for not being able to broadcast YouTube Live for the first 10 minutes due to our mistake, and for the delay in getting permission to apply for Zoom.🙇‍♂️

This was our first event, so we apologize for any inconvenience caused, but we are happy that everyone was able to enjoy it in the end.

Request for 1-minute survey after the event

Also, for those who participated in last night's event,We will ask you to complete a follow-up survey.

For better planning,I would appreciate a minute of your time.

I wanted it to be more like this.I would appreciate it if you could give me your honest opinion, such as what was good about this place.

Event details

I think even those who did not participate may read this article, so I would like to share the details of the event.

The title is
[Cheers at home with the chief brewer!] Experience seven changes in taste with sake yeast!

So, in advanceThree types of sake made with yeast with different characteristics from Yano Sake Brewery, each in a size 1 bottle (180ml).So, this time we have specially provided it to our customers.

And on the day of the event, toast with Toji Yano online!

This time, the event was streamed simultaneously on Zoom and YouTube Live. Those who wanted to talk directly with Toji Yano were able to use Zoom, and those who wanted to participate at their own pace while watching the live stream video were able to participate on YouTube Live.

Main flow of the event

The event was originally scheduled to last up to 90 minutes, but it got so exciting that it ended up being extended to 120 minutes! lol

The main flow of the meeting is as follows.

  1. Opening greeting
  2. The appearance of chief brewer Yano
  3. Cheers
  4. Yano Sake Brewery, Kashima City, Saga Prefecture, introduces products and compares drinks (experiences differences in yeast)
  5. Thoughts on the taste
  6. 1st question time
  7. toilet break
  8. Explaining the sake manufacturing process while watching Yano Sake Brewery's PV
  9. free time
  10. Announcement of upcoming real and online events
  11. last toast

Various questions came in during the YouTube Live chat and Zoom chat, and although we extended the time to 120 minutes, we were unable to answer all the questions.

However, I think it was a fun meeting from start to finish.

People who participated

This time, we had participants from various parts of Japan.

There are people from Tsushima, Osaka, Tokyo, Saitama, Saga, Yano Shuzo's hometown, and Fukuoka, our hometown.

I think we had a really diverse group of people, with varying levels of knowledge about alcohol, from alcohol science instructors to beginner alcohol lovers, and some of them were from the United States.

We originally planned for 15 people, but in the end 23 people participated, which was great!

Real events are great, but one of the great things about online events is that you can transcend time and space and meet people from all over the country.

Impressions after holding the first event

My first impression after the first event was that I could breathe a sigh of relief. lol

We've been working hard to make this event a success this year, so it was great to see it come to fruition and to be able to finish it off with smiles and toasts with everyone.

Also, as a management side, we had to reflect on the fact that we ended up making participants wait for about the first 10 minutes.

I am truly sorry that the coordination between Zoom and YouTube Live did not go well, and because of this, I was so nervous that approval for several participants was delayed, and I was not able to welcome Mr. Yano to everyone at the same time.

Also, I think it would have been nice to be able to pick up a little more chat from YouTube Live.

Also, I'm currently studying alcohol, and there were some things I didn't quite understand along the way (lol), so in order to play the role of a liaison between the participants and the creators, as well as a tuner, I felt that I needed to study more, maintain an amateur's point of view, and work hard to help everyone understand what I was saying and convey the charm of the creators to the fullest.

Behind the scenes of the first event

It took about 6 months to create this event and start the business through various trials and errors.

What I want to do and the worldview I want to present. I kept thinking about what I could do to contribute to the sake brewery and have fun for the participants.

I put my ideas down on paper, revised them over and over again,

Repeated discussions with staff,

When you're stuck thinking, go to the hot springs and refresh yourself with an endless cycle of sauna and cold bath lol

Write it down on paper, discuss it, and repeat.

Before I knew it, I had written down hundreds of pieces of paper just to come up with ideas for this business. lol

However, I feel like all the hard work was worth it because I was able to smile and toast with everyone yesterday.

The happiest part of starting a business is seeing the moment when our ideas take shape and make people happy.

99% of starting a business is unpleasant and troublesome, but this 1% of joy makes me want to try harder next time.

I've only just finished the first episode, so I don't know what to say, but let me tell you something for today. lol
