【第四回目終了】オンライン酒蔵ツアー『矢野酒造×ハンズオンローカルSAKE 2nd』を終えて

[Fourth session completed] After completing the online sake brewery tour “Yano Sake Brewery x Hands-on Local SAKE 2nd”

Hello everyone.

My name is Masuda from Hands-on Local SAKE.

[Thank you] 4th Yano Sake Brewery x Hands-on Local SAKE 2nd finished

Thank you very much to everyone who participated in the online sake brewery tour event with Yano Sake Brewery the other day (May 8, 2021)!

This time, we asked sake master Masa Takaoka to moderate the event, which I think made the event even more enjoyable.

This time, 54 people participated, the largest number ever, and 21 people attended the after-party, which was held in a hurry, making it a very lively event.♪

Event details

The event title is

[Online Sake Brewery Tour] Drink and compare sake made from 3 different types of sake rice: "Yamada Nishiki, Omachi, and Kitashizuku" with the chief brewer Yano from Kashima, Saga Prefecture!

So, this time's theme is sake rice!

This time, we picked up three types of typical sake rice, sent sake made with the different sake rice directly from Yano Sake Brewery, and toasted it online with Yano Brewery!

Speaking of Japanese sake, it is made from sake rice (rice suitable for sake brewing), and there are over 100 types of sake rice!

This time, we delivered sake made from ``Yamada Nishiki, Omachi, and Kitashizuku,'' and Mr. Yano explained the characteristics of each sake rice in his own words.

We also created a free plan for YouTube Live!

This time, it's a little different than before, and we've also created a free plan for YouTube Live.

The reason was that even if I was interested, I thought it would be a bit of a hurdle to suddenly pay money to participate.

It was worth it, 19 people zoomed (including staff), 12 people paid for YouTube Live (alcohol included), YouTube LiveFree (no alcohol)We had a great time with 23 people.

In these difficult times due to the coronavirus, I'm happy that we can all enjoy drinking together at home.♪

Main flow of the event

The main flow of the event is as follows.

    1. Opening greetings and introduction of moderator Maaya-san
    2. Practice using zoom chat function
    3. Mr. Yano appears
    4. Cheers
    5. Introduction of Yano Sake Brewery with video
    6. Self-introduction of all participants + What they are looking forward to today 3 people
    7. [Main theme] Differences between sake rice and sake rice “Yamada Nishiki, Omachi, Kitashizuku”
    8. First question time (*Questions from the preliminary survey are also shared)
    9. toilet break
    10. second round
    11. Free time (*Maybe I was too free this time lol)
    12. What Mr. Yano would like to ask the participants
    13. Cheers with a hands-on pose
    14. After-party only for those who wish.

This time as well, we were conscious of making it a ``participatory event'' so that as many people as possible could interact by using zoom's voting function and chat!

During the session, I thought about using the breakout session function to set up time for participants to interact in each small room, but there was so much interaction between participants that there was no need for that, lol.

I ended up not using it this time! w

Impressions after holding the third event

This time, we had a different format than in the past, with Maaya, the sake master, acting as master of ceremonies.

It's a continuous challenge every time, but I realized that we still need to come up with ways to make sure everyone is truly 120% satisfied.

① There will inevitably be a difference in the level of satisfaction between those who are included in the conversation and those who are not.

②It is difficult to hear what everyone wants to hear.

③ It is difficult to move forward while keeping an eye on how the conversation will get excited and how the program is progressing.

I think this is what I felt again this time.

We will continue to improve!
