Reason for introducing “Kuramoto Sake Brewery”
We will be appearing as the first sake brewery in Nara to study abroad online!
Takashi Kuramoto, the 7th generation brewer of Kuramoto Sake Brewery, a small brewery located at an altitude of 500 meters in the mountains of Tsuge, Nara, decided to become a sake brewer after encountering Bodhimoto.
Self-grown rice, spring water, and handicrafts. Every drop is filled with questions and determination.
Nara, where Kuramoto Sake Brewery is located, is also the place where Bodaimoto was established. The online sake brewery study abroad program has been held more than 50 times so far, but this will be the first time that we will be sending out ``Bodaimoto'' sake.
This time, we will be offering 3 bottles (180ml each) to compare: ``KURAMOTO R1'', ``Bodhimoto Boxwood Himuro'', and ``Bodhimoto Boxwood Himuro 15 Year Old Sake''.
Enjoy interacting not only with the brewery but also with the international sake brewery students (participants).♩
We look forward to your participation!
This time's sake
●KURAMOTO R1 (180ml)
A new standard proposed by Kuramoto Sake Brewery that expresses the new aroma of Japanese sake.♪
This sake is brewed by Kuramoto Sake Brewery and expresses a new taste of Japanese sake. Soyashi water is essential for brewing Bodhimoto. It was brewed using the original FLaP method using the same Shoryakuji lactic acid bacteria used at that time. This manufacturing method focuses on the power of lactic acid bacteria and the taste of lactic acid, as well as the refreshing taste. When you put it in your mouth, you will be greeted with a mellow sourness derived from lactic acid bacteria and a well-balanced sweetness. Light on the palate with a refreshing aftertaste. If you drink it chilled and crisp, you will be able to open up a new world of sake. Recommended for those who are new to sake.
●Junmaishu Bodhimoto Boxwood Himuro (180ml)
Bodaimoto-zukuri is a brewing method created at Bodaizan Shorakuji Temple in Nara during the Muromachi period (1400s). It is characterized by the use of soyashi water (sour water), which is made by soaking raw rice in water and fermenting it with lactic acid bacteria. The method has been revived for the first time in 500 years, and the moto is made at Shoraku-ji Temple using rice and water from the temple, Shoraku-ji yeast, and Shoraku-ji lactic acid bacteria, and is fused with modern brewing methods to create a Junmai sake with a sweet and sour taste that is rich and delicious.
●Junmai Sake Bodhimoto Boxwood Himuro 15 Year Old Sake (180ml)
Pure rice sake, Himuro's old sake made from Bodhimoto boxwood.
