This time's recommendation
Wakaebisu Brewery
Wakaebisu Sake Brewery is a historic sake brewery with roots in Iga City, Mie Prefecture (Iga Basin), and was founded in 1853 by Gizaemon Shigefuji, who ran an inn. Taking advantage of the Iga region's clean underground water and an environment suitable for sake brewing, we have been producing high-quality sake for over 170 years.

Reason for introducing “Wakaebisu Sake Brewery”
This time we would like to introduce you to Wakaebisu Sake Brewery located in Iga City, Mie Prefecture.
The sake brewery in Mie is also the “local favorite” of international students, and we are very happy to be able to introduce it to you through this online sake brewery study abroad program.
Contains 80 types of yeast
They research and manage a rich variety of yeast that is hard to find in other breweries, and the sake produced from this diversity is truly unique. The wide range of scents and tastes is a strength unique to Wakaebisu.
It's delicious anyway
Sake brewing takes advantage of the local Iga's abundant water and rice, and it has an appealing flavor that naturally puts a smile on the faces of those who drink it. It has received high praise nationwide.
The warmth I felt when I met you directly
We also attended a tasting and sales event at Hakata Station and had the opportunity to speak directly with Mr. Ishizaki, the sales manager. Not only did he explain about the sake, but I also heard about the passion and thoughts behind it, and I became a fan even more.
This time, we will be offering a comparison of two bottles (300ml each) of ``Junmai Ginjo Gizaemon'' and September's debut ``Junmai Ginjo Cheers & Cheese''.
Enjoy interacting not only with the brewery but also with the international sake brewery students (participants).♩
We look forward to your participation!
